Wonderful place for a solo get-a-way for work and pleasure. Lovely Bed and Breakfast with a great atmosphere, cozy rooms, and attentive hosts. Great location within walking distances to many shops and restaurants. I will certainly return, since I have six more rooms to visit! (I stayed in the Rose Room, but they all had their own charm). The wine and chocolates were a nice treat.
They are very nice. Very comfortable room. Spent an amazing time there. Will visit again. Highly recommend!
The Innkeepers are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Can't recommend James Place Inn enough!!!
We love Maine and everything about it. We have now clearly identified what we like the best. That would be the James Place Inn in Freeport ME. The house is delightful and located within walking distance of almost everything, including the LL Bean flagship store. Our hosts Bill and Mary Ann Hinko are marvelous souls that make you feel not only wanted but cherished as members of their own family. The breakfasts are incomparable, the conversations both entertaining and enlightening.nnI don't believe that any other venue could exceed what we experienced, either in Maine or anywhere else, for that matter.
we came last year when the new owners were just taking over- we went back july 16-22 this year and saw the improvements and how the owners gained in knowledge- we are already booked for next year- location, quiet, outstanding rooms- meets all the main questions a traveler can have stan and wendy osur
