My family and I stayed at Applewood Inn whilst we were driving around Maine. Jay and his team really make you feel like you are at home. The service was fantastic, I recommend getting the breakfast it was a large cook up feast that I still think about.nnI strongly recommend staying here, and it is within walking distance to the shopping in Freeport. Have a relaxing night and then grab some bargains.
Fantastic place! Always super clean and comfortable rooms!! The owners on site are always friendly and beyond helpful. Breakfast is always good, but not great. (Ex. Bacon is precooked). I would highly recommend the Applewood Inn for anyone visiting the Freeport area!!
A beautiful and comfortable Inn, where to stay while driving around Maine. Jay is a SUPER host and he made us feel like at home.nThe rooms were clean and lovely. For breakfast we had the luck to taste their beautiful vegetables (cooked by Jay's father) grown in the backyard...i'm still dreaming about those potatoes, eggs and tomatoes!nWe brought back to Italy a real nice experience, that's why if will do another roadtrip across Maine, for sure I will stop for a night or two at Applewood INN.
Nice people. Comfortable room. Wonderful in-house breakfast. Right across the parking lot from LLBean- how cool is that!
I had the best experience staying there. When I needed items or had questions they would deliver and answer any questions. I would recommend staying here. It's within walking distance to restaurants, shopping places, groceries stores and even a movie theater.
