Cherokee Forest Mountain Cabins

The view from the top of the mountain is amazing. Close to Dollar General for incidentals. Lake Watauga has pontoon boats, kayaks and canoe rentals. Other outdoor activities in the area within a 1 hour drive. The cabin is nice with plenty of room for our family of 5. Hot tub is relaxing. Liz, the owner, is very hospitable and treats you like family.

We loved our week away from it all at Cherokee Forest Mountain Cabins. Spent each evening watching over the lake from our porch hot tub. So many things to do nearby such as fishing, hiking, biking, boating, atv/offroad, swimming, etc. Yellow owl cabin was handsome and very comfortable. I definitely recommend staying here if you come to visit this area. The owners are very helpful and everyone we ran into on our trips were very friendly.

If you’re looking for a vacation rental with a cabin experience, modern amenities and spectacular views, this is the spot! This was far beyond what I had expected. The property is so beautiful and well kept. Each cabin has a hot tub with an amazing view and it’s own privacy. The owner Liz is so sweet and accommodating. She also gave us some great suggestions for things to venture off and do and we loved them all. I highly recommend Cherokee Forest Mountain Cabins for a family vacation/ reunion or even a romantic getaway. We will definitely be back!

Our first stay at the cabins was about 10 years ago. We came back every other year. The cabins are modern log homes with all the amenities. Very peaceful with breathtaking views. We liked it so well in this part of Tennessee, we sold our house up north and moved to nearby Mountain City.nnIf you are thinking of retiring in Tennessee, stay here, then check out beautiful Watauga Lake and the rest of Johnson County!
