****This review is for the golf course only****nIn my opinion, this already well known course is still highly underrated. I've played many courses in the top 100 public at different levels and Mid pines deserves to be near the top; it certainly would be if it were near an ocean or lake. Beautiful routing and firm conditioning. Tough greens that have to be accounted for in your approach (hard to do if playing for the first time). Fantastic aesthetic. I went back and looked at videos and pictures after playing and even good photos flatten the look of the course. It is much more dramatic in person. Highly recommended.
Played horrible and loved every moment of it! This place is DIFFERENT. I have really messed up feet but walked anyways. Really glad I did. What a charming beast! Played 7 of the top courses around Pinehurst and this was probably my favorite:)

Incredibly fun golf course, a much more relaxed version of its sister course Pine Needles. Always in excellent shape, and the course still holds up to Donald Ross's characteristics.
You can tell this is a really old hotel.The rooms are small
