The Holly Inn

Our group of 12 stayed at the Holly Inn for my 40th birthday and everyone was impressed at the hotel's service level, food, location, and cleanliness (including their COVID precaution). The staff continually went out of their way to make the weekend nice and encourage us to enjoy their amenities including fantastic food from the 1895 Grille. I'd recommend the Holly Inn (walking distance to town and the Carolina Hotel's breakfast as well) to anyone planning a trip.

A great experience in a truly historic inn.

We're staying the Holly Inn at Pinehurst for the USKids Golf World Championship. My son's tournament is being held at Legacy Golf Links which is 9 miles away, and not at Pinehurst to our surprise. To make things worse, we were told by the shuttle driver and an employee at the Holly that shuttle service was available to Legacy as we were checking in; however, as we were boarding the shuttle, we were told that they don't shuttle to Legacy because it's 22 miles away (vs. actual 9 miles). With our tee time only 45 minutes away, there were no available Uber or Lyft cars, and we were referred to Safeway Taxi service who charged $45 one-way, or $90 roundtrip, or $360 total to cover each day of play.nnVisibly stressed, Alberta at the front desk noticed that I was struggling to get a hold of Enterprise Rent-a-car. She also called Enterprise and got a hold of them before me which I was very grateful for. She gave me the phone but I declined the offer by Enterprise to search for better alternatives. At this time, Alberta graciously offered her car for us to use, and I was floored with relief and gratitude. Thank you Alberta for going above and beyond to help us, and telling us that you wanted our son not to be stressed out going into the tournament. Thanks to her, we were able to get to the course just in time, and rent a car afterwards. Alberta is an amazingly trusting person who lent her car to a complete stranger in a time of need, and we will always cherish this experience at the Holly Inn because of beautiful people like Alberta. We look forward to coming here again.

Had an excellent filet and Heather was on top our service. Great desert.
