Days Inn by Wyndham Weldon Roanoke Rapids

I booked this place online after reviewing photos because I needed a quick place to stay that was pet friendly. The pictures online didn't look so bad and I read many positive reviews. As my husband and I pulled into the parking lot we saw a cop car parked in front which did not leave a very good impression on us. I came inside to check in and the customer before me did not have a mask on. The gentlemen at the front desk was very nice and handed me my room key. We drove to the second building where we were 1 of 3 cars parked in the lot. We unloaded a few bags and checked out the room. The first thing we notice was a huge stain on the couch. The tile floor near the sink was sticky and we could see footprints. The hair dryer had burnt hair stuck in it and there was a hair in the sink. We immediately packed up because we didn't feel safe and within minutes of checking in we checked out. Again, a new customer in the lobby in front of me was not wearing a mask and he appeared to be paying for his room in cash. I asked the front desk clerk if I could be reimbursed since we spent no more than ten minutes in the room and I was told he would ask the manager. I have not heard back and I was charged regardless. We immediately checked in to the Hilton Garden Inn only a few minutes away (pet friendly). We got a good nights rest there and it was clean and safe.

Very old facility but clean. Excellent customer service. Rough neighborhood. Several hotels within walking distance so will probably try a different one next trip.

Very clean new beds non ud83dudeadud83dudeac . Nice lobby very nice young man checked Us in cannot remember name but it means happiness. Knew the neighborhood and answers to all questions.

I had a lovely stay at the Days Inn-Roanoke Rapids! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was traveling with my pet and the room was perfect for me and her. Room was clean, everything worked, and the outside room entrances make traveling with a pet a breeze.

Not the cleanest or most elegantly remodeled, but at least it was quiet. There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby, but this is NO resort.
