Stumbled upon this place on our way back home from Florida. What a gem! The rooms are beautiful, they did a great job renovating while keeping the charm of the original building. Our room overlooked the main street that was decorated with lights on the trees and light posts. We checked in too late to eat at the barrister restaurant but got breakfast at the notary in the basement. It was delicious! They gave us $10 vouchers for breakfast and I was worried that it was going to be typical hotel food but it wasn't! They had lots of options for food and coffee. If we pass through again we will definitely be staying here!
This place is GREAT the food is awesome and I love the rooms. We've stayed here two times and both times were great. There isn't a absolute whole bunch to do right around there that we saw but there is a little antique mall that we went to and found a bunch of cool stuff.
Great experience! We stayed for a night recently and really loved the hotel and the room. The interior is really well done and is decorated to match the era of the building. There is a restaurant on the main floor and a cafe in the basement, which we received breakfast vouchers for. If I had any criticism, it would be that menus for the restaurant and cafe were not available online, in the rooms, or in the hotel lobby. Parking was right next door and they had a few spaces reserved for Choice Privileges members, which was nice. Walking distance to several bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend and stay again!
This was the BEST hotel stay I’ve been on!nThe entire staff is super friendly down to the cook! The breakfast was amazing and everyone made the the weekly stay great!nThe restaurant food was great also, I recommend this hotel to anyone for a relaxing get away! My family truly enjoyed this hotel. All the remodeling looked great and very cozy.
Probably the most aesthetically pleasing hotel I've stayed at in the country. Rooms size is adequate, cleanliness is first rate, breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL. Special thanks to Zach and his fellow staffer, the future architect, who's name I can't remember for the life of me, for giving me the grand tour.
