Becky the manager is the best. Front desk very helpful and housekeeping too. Recently renovated and very nice. The only thing is on weekends when Tail of the Dragon is getting car enthusiasts and motorcycle travelers ask for a room that is even numbered and on the end of the building, the 16 rooms like 216 to avoid possible noisy guests outside on the other end of the building. Other than that a perfect Quality Inn!

Family of 4. We stayed for a weekend. Was good until we found out they weren't serving eggs or biscuits for the breakfasts. When sleeping sounds from behind the building kept us up a little. Beds were comfortable and was clean. Internet fast of course. And the customer service is good but found out later [it's a dry county].....had to drive to the nearest towns to get any type of alcohol and the only place for BBQ was closed [the BBQ place is NOT open the weekend of the Cheoah River release].

While there is a sign on the front door that masks are required to enter the hotel for COVID-safety, the activities of the staff are completely opposite. I stayed here three nights, and never once saw any staff member with a mask, with the exception of when I checked in. The desk person saw I had no mask, and then had to go in back to find one. Other than that, I saw front desk personnel routinely in close quarters (about 2') with other staff, guests, and apparently personal friends, as if there were no pandemic at all. When I checked out, the desk person made no attempt to find a mask at all. I am not confident the staff has a routine to more frequently disinfect elevator buttons, door handles, light switches, etc. If you care about COVID-safety, look elsewhere.

We did not feel safe here. Stayed one night, FRI 10/16. Front desk staff did not wear masks, and sort of looked at us funny because we had masks on. Most other staff we saw did have masks. Customers in lobby and customers taking elevator did not wear masks and front desk staff were ok with that. Can see why Covid-19 is increasing in NC, hope we will be OK. Room was fine.

I booked a 2 night stay through choice hotels. I was supposed to receive a discount on the 2nd night but was charged the regular rate. Manager tried to fix the error but was unable to. Was told to call Choice hotels and see if I could get refunded.nThe tv was stuck on 1 channel both days and manager did not try to fix at all. 2 adults staying 2nights and were only given 3 bath towels. The 2nd day was given stained towels that were meant for motorcycle wipe downs.nHave stayed at this hotel before and it was great. Hope this was a fluke, but a little disappointed.
