Buffalo Creek Bed & Breakfast

Just checked in. Place is amazing and secluded, yet with all facilities including internet :-) hosts are really personable. There’s a creek right behind the property. I can sit here and listen to water rest of stay.nnI will update the review and post pictures after our full stay.

Wonderful friendly hosts, Rob and Robin, plentiful breakfast, very accomodating for special dietary requests. They offered to take our dog out while we were exploring surrounding areas. There is one room at the property for rent, and breakfast is served in the room, serious space limitations in my opinion, I was sold by a picture of spacious country side breakfast area with large windows, oval table, and gourgeous dining chairs. Room is smaller than in most motels, seiling is beautiful wood but a bit low if you are like us around 6 feet tall. Recreational activities were listed on a small piece of paper attached behind WiFi password, so I missed it and we did not get to use kayak rental on the lake, apparenlty included with B&B. We got free map of the area and suggestions for driving and exploring. I did not see mountain bikes, ATV rental is $20 per hour plus gas. Hot tub was not offered, just streams in the bathtub (was not suitable size for us, unfortunately). Large closet in the room had only two hangers, very small refrigerator, and TV that was tricky to use, many channels not available. Overall was very good experience in rural area, including very pleasant conversations with hosts and their neighbours, wittnessing snake hunt (did not catch what kind of snake). Mosquitoes were not too bad, it only rained intermittently, yellow jackets were localized to one area. One limitation is that property is a little challenging to get to after sunset, so night activities were a little limited, just as expected in rural areas, and I did not give it serious planning. Another small challenge was to clean cups and silverware since room has no kitchen, we used bathroom sink, and Robin gave us dish soap, but it was hard to keep water from splashing all over the countertop because bathrom sink is shallow. We had good time and I satisfied my curiosity with rural life style to the fullest. I would like to thank our hosts for warm welcome throughout the stay, friendly talks and many smiles.

We will be going back it was really an awesome experience and very happy to have stayed
