Kings Hotel

It sure has seen better days. But the price was very inexpensive. And just off the interstate.

This is an older hotel, under renovation. The owners are very kind, they live on the property, and this is one of the hotels that so very kindly made arrangements to house the homeless during the COVID-19 pandemic, the hurricanes, and during the freezing cold temperatures in winter. It has a lot of character- there are people from all walks of life that stay at Kings hotel- it is not a Marriott or a Hilton, but it is a great deal for the price. There are definitely much worse hotels in Lafayette than this one.

I make my review based on the fact that I've lived at this motel for 3 plus months. I also base my review on the fact that this motel is not even a hundred yards from the exit ramp of a major Interstate-10 freeway where ppl of all cultures, race, ethnic background, criminals, drug/alcohol addicts, & ppl in transit to another city often frequent this motel & numerous problems have arisen over the very things I've mentioned above. Could use improvements on security 24/7 (or at least the 8 hrs of night) other than the mostly non-working, or out-dated cameras now in place. When I was living there; the other tenants & I often made our complaints aware to the manager, or his wife, or the maintenance crew. Were always informed that a work ticket would be made & assigned to maintenance crew...if any thing at all were repaired it took days often weeks due to the back log of work tickets. For a motel that has been in business for decades & has had multiple owners, whom obviously hadn't put much investment money throughout those decades back into the structure of the motel building itself...it is in dire much dire need of repairs or a complete updated make-over. The prices per room per night DO NOT match or justify what this motel has to offer its customers. Please don't ask me to give reference to this business establishment... WOULD NOT recommend this motel to family, friends, or the general public.

It's livable and there are times when one may view a little behavior of some kind. Only saying the truth.

The hosts are so rude.. I'm not sure where the photos were taken at top of page, but I know they weren't taken in the room I am in.. television doesn't even turn on. looks like poodoo smeared on wall next to toilet
