The employees were very nice and the place looked clean enough, but on the first night, I saw a couple roaches crawling around while I had just a single reading light on over the bed and most of the room was dark. I noticed one had disappeared into the wall next to the hot tub where the caulking was missing, so the next morning I ran out to Walmart and got a small tube of caulking (that could be applied over existing caulking.) The gaps in the caulking were also in the bathroom so it obviously wasn’t a priority with the maintenance team, so I would just handle it myself. Plus, I was supposed to be gone most of the day so I didn’t want them in my room anyways. The front desk clerk had informed me they sprayed for roaches once a week and looked like she couldn’t do much about it anyways. So that was another reason I would just see what I could do. The place was full and I didn’t think getting another room would help much and I thought the caulking might do the trick. (Plus I wanted to try the hot tub, which I never did get around to.) I slept surprisingly well the second night, thinking I had blocked them out, but the following morning, I was up early (with just the single reading light on over the bed) and a roach crawled right across the nightstand next to where I was sitting! Oh my… (They were German roaches, which are notoriously difficult to eradicate.) I got a good rate on the room, and the people were very nice, so I didn’t complain much at the time. I think if they did a good roach treatment in all the gaps in the walls and then caulked over that, maybe they would get some headway with the roaches. I made sure to shake out all of my bags and clothing before I left, just in case! I really hope they can make some progress on this, because it is not a bad hotel and the people were very nice.
The lady at the front desk is very accommodating can’t say the same for the guy. Other than asking them to wear mask while service room, room service is attentive. Clean and comfy, so is the bed. The first day of my stay I noticed a roach or two in the bathroom area and the next day, addressed the issue to the lady at the front desk and she took care of it in no time! An exterminator sprayed the room and the problem was resolved.
Very dirty. Lobby carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a month. Our room was not completely cleaned and sanitized. Still had water in the ice bucket from whoever stayed before. Made us feel unsafe so we sanitized the room ourselves. Parking lot was filthy. No breakfast, cause you’re protecting employees??? Baloney, you’re cutting the wrong amenities because guest counts are down. Etc etc etc. Traveling during the pandemic is difficult enough. Extra care needs to be evident for traveling guests. Hanging signs doesn’t cut it when what they say isn’t done. $100 for a stay that wasn’t worth $10.
Very nice an clean. End of the deadend right close to everything. Safe area police constantly patrol. Great place to stop an stay. Like a 200 dollar deposit plus room but worth it and you get the deposit back immediately after checkout.
Comfortable, spacious room. Rita at the desk was so helpful and friendly. However, the breakfast was well below par. Even during Covid, there is so much more that can be done than danish and coffee. Yogurt, packaged hard boiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, juice - other hotels do that. Not even as good as what I can get at a gas station.
