Over charged.. I called in advance about pet deposit and was quoted $15 for entire stay and upon checkout was charged $15 a day. Was not allowed to speak to manager & manager never did return my phone calls. (Left 3 messages) Don’t know why I had to pay extra money anyway for cleaning room for my 12 lb dog because room was not clean anyway wohen we got there, the floors were horribly dirty. Didn’t bother to wash my socks when I got home, just threw them away. Bad business to misrepresent fees and not to return calls. I stay in a motel in Dalton GA at least every other month & this one is completely off my list.nnUpdate:nOng - look at there response a year after my review. You got to be kidding me. You really expect me to return to your facility.
Clean and comfortable. Relatively simple property, but well maintained. We were very pleased.
Beds are nice, pillows are terrible, they were lumpy with clumps of fiberfill, rooms were probably recently redecorated and it's the 70s decor, bathroom was filthy, front of toilet looked like they used the floor duster to clean it, no tub drain stopper or drain guard over the drain, the floor was sticky, the room door was filthy along with the bathroom door, bathroom exhaust fan filthy. No blankets for the bed, you have 2 top sheets and a light blanket in between the sheets.
The Howard Johnsons in Dalton is a modest hotel right off 75..Its clean and newly renovated so I do recommend it. Taxes are high in Ga. but the rate was competitive.
Very pleased with my stay there. I could not have gotten better treatment by the entire staff,especially the office. Very professional, would recommend and will!
