SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kennewick Tri-Cities

As I was arriving in town without any reservations and no luck finding an available room, I just spent a few days at the Richland Inn and Suites which is anything but a Suite place to stay unless you're desperate and possibly destitute so needless to say that the SpringHill Suites was like a slice of heaven in comparison. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who can appreciate the finer amenities of life on the road.

It looks fine to me. Spacious room. I was just there to visit someones who're staying there so I can't say much about their accomodations and service. Given the chance, I would stay in one of their branches. I would even recommend it, if you can afford it.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice hotel, situated perfectly for shopping or easy walking access to several sporting/entertainment venues. Have stayed there multiple times and have no complaints.

I was in the Tri-Cities over the Thanksgiving weekend and stayed 4 nights at the Springhill Suites in Kennewick. The room itself was nice but, upon check-in Wednesday night, I was told that they only cleaned the rooms after the third night. This should have been a red flag but I dismissed it. As it turns out, my room was not made up at all during my entire stay: bed not made, floor not vacuumed, no clean towels, no fresh soap, etc. Upon checkout on Sunday, I asked the desk clerk if it was the policy of this hotel to not make up the rooms and she again said only after the third day due to COVID. Ah, due to COVID. So then I asked her to explain to me why my room had not been made up at all. After calling the maid on her walkie-talkie, she told me that she had forgotten to make my room up. So, in other words, due to COVID, when everything is supposed to be extra clean to ensure everyone’s health and safety, the Springhill Suites chooses to not or just plain forgets to clean their guest rooms.nnCOVID or not, a hotel’s housekeeping staff should make sure the guest rooms are cleaned daily. I have never been to a hotel that did not clean their rooms and am unsure why Springhill Suites in Kennewick chooses to not clean theirs. Perhaps cleanliness is not important to them, I don’t know. If you want a nice room but don’t mind that it won’t be cleaned, Springhill Suites may be for you; they will not be seeing me again.

I'm a regular Marriott person but over softened water cannot be ignored and must be warned against. If you don't mind not being able to rinse off shampoo and soap, this is the place for you.
