I have always liked the Renaissance Hotel...especially the elegance that it offers. I can't wait to see the outcome once the renovations are complete. The best hotel in Portsmouth and the food from their restaurant is also delicious. The staff that I've encountered are also very pleasant.
We hosted a meeting at this establishment and were very pleased with everything!nThe staff is very friendly and the meeting room and sleeping rooms were clean with beautiful rooms!nThe food was amazing and all around we had a wonderful time! Definitely would recommend working with Denise!
I used to really love staying at renaissance but it just seems that every time is just a big disappointment.. they may be remodeling but the room was not ready stuff did not work. And of course the typical covid excuse lazy businesses use to lower the standard but absolve themselves of any responsibility. I think we are done as many other hotel of similar quality offer many more working amenities and also with out the super dated up charges for basic surface... Your call but I think we can all do better
Our stay was good. The only thing that I could complain about was the fact that there are stains on the rug and the room was not properly cleaned due to the fact that I found long strands of hair under the sink in the bathroom that clearly weren’t mine. Due to COVID they should take better care of the cleaning. Other than that we were alright. That is the only reason I give 2 stars.
The on going construction sounds like it is in the room above us. So much so that I had to leave the room to have a phone conversation. The receptionist assured us that the construction was not above our room and that we were informed. We are cutting our stay short and checking out tommorrow morning. I drove 7 hours to be here and can't get any rest until after 6pm.
