Great place for family or group functions. Terrific amenities! Friendly staff.
Cabins are okay but the A/C is old and loud. Showers are linoleum on the walls and some of the mattresses are gym mats. The biggest issue is there is no shade, window blinds need to be drawn down and you cannot sit outside until the sun goes down. there is an overwhelming amount of religious propaganda all over the place. Not pet friendly. The view of the river is pretty but there is no direct access to it. Clearly this place has a target audience and it wasn't me.
The cabins are cozy and fit several people. The meeting space is plain but functional. It is surrounded by beautiful wilderness that I have never seen the like. The river is gorgeous and the surrounding hills are breathtaking. There is no cell service there for any carrier. It is a good place to get away. I have been there something like 10 times, and I enjoy it every time. I have seen a rattlesnake, though. If you bring children, it may be wise for them to not go to the edges of the camp unsupervised. You may wish to bring your own drinking water. The water from the facility smells (and tastes) of sulfur.nOverall it is a nice and quaint place. I have many good memories there.
Cabins are nice. Not much else to do at this location. No tobacco or alcohol permitted! River is across the street and runs fast so swimming isn't encouraged.
This place has gone downhill over the years. It used to be quite charming, now it needs some upkeep and TLC.
