Great cabin, loved it, awesome location, cabin is gated off so you won't see many people, for it's age the cabin is in good shape. The wood stove works and is a great way to cook especially on a cooler morning. This cabin slept all 6 in my family comfortably, the wood swing outside was a nice touch, my kids used it constantly.
Well kept FS cabin with a nice developed outside area. Fire pit, grill and two picnic benches outside. The firewood is always stocked. Inside there are propane lights, a fire place and wood burning stove. Two bunk beds in one bedroom and two single beds in the second.
Great little cabin!! I would stay here again. Be sure to get there during the day time. Finding the place can be a little challenging. They road is marked nicely if you are coming from Kilgore, but if you come from the other way the signs are not not there and/or not very helpful. The cabin is in good shape and the place is very private. There is a swing for the kids to swing on and a nice bbq and table out side the cabin to enjoy. The bathroom was the nicest smelling vault toilet I have every been in.
We came to this cabin for years and years when AL was alive, and are coming back to have a short memorial for my sister, whose birthday we celebrated there every year. It is a special place.
