Love Jenn and Jared! Beautiful rv and mobile home park. Basic lotrent if you own the trailer. Food truck comes in the summer time.
You pull into odd site numbers facing one direction and even sites the opposite way. So neighboring RVs have their doors facing each other. When we made reservations they said we’d be next to our friends who also have an RV. (We made the reservations with one phone call.) That would have made the experience better. But our friends are a few sites down from us.nnOur neighbors are also here with friends in a separate RV. They are next to each other but their utility sides face each other, not their doors.nnThere is a 7’ wide strip of patchy grass between the sites. On the door side should be two picnic tables. We have 2, but our friends have only one to share with their neighbors. They have a camper van and normally eat at their table in camp sites. I did see another strip of grass with three tables, but the two families on either side of it were using all three.nnThere are small pieces of litter in the sites and we have a pile (about 4 cups) of something black like charred wood chips, but not quite, on the grass by our table. We’ve been stepping around it. Our sewer pipe didn’t have a lid which is unpleasant when you are not hooked up.nnNext to the office hut they have a large residential size trash bin. The bin was so full the lid didn’t close and bags were sitting on the ground next to it. They do have two dumpsters in the back of the RV park.nnNo one is ever in the little office hut, but when we walked to the river we noticed an “office” building for Meadows Mobile Home Park which I think is part of the same management. If we needed something, we’d ask there.nnOk that was all the negative comments. Now for the positive.nnThere are fir trees, willows, Aspen, and other trees around the perimeter of the RV Park. They are a lovely backdrop. Another half dozen trees dot the sites. They water the grass so it’s green. The sites are level and paved so it’s not dusty.nnThe mobile home park is quiet and takes up several blocks between the RV area and the river. We can hear cars on the highway, but it’s not too loud for us. Quieter at night.nnThe office hut has a box with nice campground maps showing which way to pull in for everyone arriving that day. You just take your map and go camp. The map also has the wifi password and a short list of things to do.nnBecause the RV front doors face each other, their utility sides do too. There are grassy strips behind the trailers with double utility hookups.nnThe Wood River Trail is only two blocks away (you don’t cross the highway) and access to the Wood River is just beyond the trail. The River has 3-12” rocks instead of sand. It’s a beautiful river. The trail goes 7 miles toward and beyond Sun Valley to the trailhead where there is a parking lot. or you can go the other direction and go to Hailey and beyond. Only one mile away is a botanical garden which was beautiful.
Booked a reservation to stay there for two nights. Got a confirmation call the day prior to leaving confirming our reservation. Only hours before we were getting ready to leave, get a message that they overbooked. They offered us a dry camp and to reimburse us 50% of what we paid for a full site, meaning they wanted 25$ a night for a dry camp, which I would guess is their normal dry camp rate. If I had wanted a dry camp, I would have tried to snag any of the spots at the many public campgrounds around. I would definitely avoid and should have read the reviews better.
One of the worst RV places i have stayed, way over priced for what you get.nSpaces are tight you are literally on top of each other your RV awning going to touch your neighbor. WiFi never works. Not maintained. They take advantage they are the only RV park with full hookups around. I will never stay there again. There are plenty dry camping around.nWe stayed there 4 night if i knew better i wouldn't stay there people on both sides of me says the same thing. Bad place to stay. Be warned.
Spots are very close together, barely enough room for our awning. Heads up, the casino is closed but they don’t tell you that when you call. Internet is spotty and unsecured. Check in was a hassle. It’s in person at the hotel, you must drive over, wear a mask, and then were given a spot that someone else was already parked in. Turns out, we were both given the same spot. It’s cheap, nothing to write home about. A good stop for a night.
