This place was shabby and dirty. Floors weren’t vacuumed, the bathtub wasn’t cleaned, fingerprints on the doors and walls. Some of the outlets didn’t work, and the coffee pot in the room was literally dirty on the inside. This was worse than Motel 6 and the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Also, the floor was warped, toilet cover was broken. I am surprised the City has shut this place down. Don’t stay at this place unless they drop their price to $10.00 a night. The staff was nice. Also, no breakfast, no pool which wasn’t indicated on the web sight.
First employee we encountered was great. I believe his name was Michael. Downhill from there.nEverything is stained in some way. Linens, chairs, floors etc. Many appliance fixtures were rusted out. I don’t mean a chip of rust, I mean completely rusted.nThe counters look as if they will crumble at any moment. Seals broken, cracks and chips.nWalls are also covered in various blemishes throughout the entire room.nThe broken lamp shoved into a corner of the room was an odd touch. It looked as if a bunch of furniture was unnecessarily piled up through. Perhaps this was the way to hide any other issues. I don’t claim to be a designer, but I couldn’t wrap my head around it.nThe fridge was working and kept its contents of hair and dirt nice and chilled.nThe smoke detector had no battery and provided zero function during our stay. Thankfully most people don’t need an alarm to let them know they’re on fire, or we would have been in big trouble.nThe shower head alone was enough for me to see how little care has been given. It was covered in what looked like 1,000-year-old sea barnacles. The shower itself looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a considerable amount of time.nWe opted out of being covered in whatever may exit the shower head, and instead kept the complimentary perfume choking the air. Who doesn’t want to smell of smoke and odor removing chemicals for a day, in what is considered a “non smoking” room?nWhile discrimination against guests may be frowned upon, there were many suspect characters throughout. We loved being up at all hours from lack of noise awareness or consideration. I suppose the large kitchen knife living it’s best life in the middle of the parking lot, may have been a sign the place didn’t get much attention.nThe final staff interaction proved interesting. I believe this older woman has gotten a bit of press online, but I’d guess she doesn’t read the reviews, nor take constructive criticism. I’ll say this, most places refrain from treating guests as if they are imposing or annoying, especially when merely asking what else needed to be done to check out.nAll in all, I feel burning my hotel clothes may release whatever evil entities have taken this place over. But before we try that, I give tot 0/10 and hope I never get stuck spending $120+ for one night (do refunds or compensation exist anymore?) in a place that needs to be flattened and turned in to a trash dump.
Price was a bit high but rooms are clean and well kept. Staff is great there. Mike helped get me checked in and was super friendly and helpful. They were able to give me a late checkout at 12. There is no breakfast at this time due COVID
Room was average, price was high for as little as you got. TV would not turn on, fridge barely cooled drinks, nothing to heat left overs, did have a table and two chairs to sit at. Pool closed for winter time, will not be open until May. Covid response eliminated the breakfast portion of the stay. At least the shower was hot. Will not stay there in Cottonwood again. Rather sleep in my car or pay 4x as much by staying someplace in Sedona.
If i could give it less stars i absolutely would.nnWhen we arrived there were massive stains on the sheets, the floor was dirty, the bathroom door cracked as if someone had kicked it in at some point.nnWe were in a non-smoking room but it smelled of smoke and there was a plastic bag covering the smoke detector.
