Wagon Wheel RV Park

My husband and I stayed at Wagon Wheel RV in Portales NM for 7 months. Very nice young couple owns the place and were very attentive to any of our needs. It was very peaceful and quiet during our long stay. The most important part for me was that I felt safe at this park due to them having security cameras. Never had any sewer or electrical problems the entire 7 months we were there. They have a laundry room, showers, and bathrooms also which was a BIG POSITIVE for me not having to go to town to a Laundromat. Walmart is just down the road which was a big plus for us. Overall I would give them (10) stars ⭐ufe0f if possible. If your ever in the area give them a try. Highly recommended. Happy customer from Texas.

A young couple (Mason and Chaslin) has recently bought it. The place is very basic in what it offers which is my reason for being three stars. I have a nice diesel pusher and it's not the kind of place I would normally stay. I did not go in and look at the facilities but they seem like they're probably pretty spartan (by the way the chassis on my rig is a Spartan!). I repeat that again because for most people's purposes this part would be totally adequate although there is no cable or internet. They're also is no pavement and it's also very tight spacing. When these folks bought it it was packed up with people working on the windmills (Wanzek) but that project is down so there's only about three people staying there and about 25 open spaces (roughly). For my purposes it rates about a three maybe a four, for your purposes it may well be a five! I'd recommend it over la hacienda on the other side of town because I had serious power issues over there! Be well and safe travels!! #SNNS

Good for the price. Tight spaces but good place to stay the night.

Wagon wheel RV was a wonderful stopping point for us! Ricky, the owner, was a great host. We noticed that he is a roper and he said that he is going to have an arena set up and paneled stalls soon for those coming through with horses that want to rope!! That works for us! Nice shady trees for cooler trailer as well! We enjoyed our night there and we will be back again!
