We originally called the Best Western across the street and they were booked,, but that receptionist told us to try their sister hotel across the street. She provided us with the number and we called. It was very late when we called to see if any rooms were available and the receptionist here was very kind and helpful. She had only 1 or 2 left and we booked it because she said it will be gone before we drove the hour from Albuquerque to get here. This was definitely worth the extra 45 min to hour drive from Albuquerque to get here where we originally booked at a Super 8 hotel, where 5 cops that were at that hotel told us we didn't want to stay in that area and directed us to this gem.

Decent, but the morning shower was cold for the first 5 minutes and also the water actually cut out all together in the middle of it. Only in the last few minutes did I have anything like warm water. It's a minor thing but they also had two conditioners and no shampoo. And no stirrers for the coffee.

They lied. I had read reviews online from several weeks prior about them having hot water issues. So I asked before checking in about the hot water, and the front desk clerk said it had been resolved. When we went to shower before we left, the water was cold. I called down and asked to speak to a manager. No manager was on site, nor did one call me back. The next front desk clerk (Nicole) was extremely rude as well. Don’t stay here!

The room was on the smaller side, but nice. The only complaints we had about the room itself was that the hot water fluctuated very badly and the toilet was a little wobbly. When we left, we were originally charged for a stain on some linens that I knew we did not leave. When I originally called, they didn't seem like they would be willing to remove the charge. But I called two days later and Gabriel helped resolve our issue! And he did it very quickly. It was the only 3 star hotel that we could find in Grants. Everything else was 2.5 or less. They had little to-go bags for breakfast due to covid, which were basic items (muffins, fruit, water, etc), and we had no problems checking in or out.
