Great quality and location for the price! The rooms are clean and well kept, we especially loved the separate sitting/kitchenette area if one of us wanted to stay up later than the other. The location is within walking distance of great restaurants and shops, and it's a lot more affordable than staying in Aspen. We'll definitely be returning next time we're in the area!

I am speechless and without words right now. We are frequent visitors to this hotel, and have loved it until today. In fact we send all of our friends here, and stayed here in Sept. However, tonight upon arrival I find out the manager/owner Zach and taken us out of the suite we booked and put us into two basic rooms with double size beds. No phone call, no email nothing. The front desk gal told me “well you are getting two rooms for the cost of the suite.” She also told me that all of the suites booked 3-4 days ago, that’s when my head really exploded, and I realized they did this for money. I had only reserved the suite for one evening 12 days ago, and they are able to make more money on someone who wanted that suite for multiple nights. So Zach really likes money better than he does taking care of his customers. Traveling with children this does not work, so my husband and I will split up between the two rooms so they are not in a hotel room alone all night. Not to mention their basic room has stains all over the carpets, table. I’ve never been so upset, and disappointed traveling before. We travel at least once a month, I always book direct, not on a third party website. Guess next time we are in Basalt/Aspen we will stay at the Element, big chain instead of supporting the little guy who screws You over.

Basalt mountain inn provides some of the best service I’ve ever had for lodging.nThey have gone out of their way to help me while dealing with a travel situation in a way that I wouldn’t expect from most hotels/motels.nThe room was very clean, the bed was more comfortable that I would have expected from the price point, and the staff is fantastic.nTheir location in town gives easy walking access to food, bars, and shopping.nnThanks so much to Zach and his staff for an experience well above my best expectations!

The room was nice, comfortable bed, not too small, the front office was polite, nice & helpful, however the noise was off the charts, I could not get any sleep. I booked a room that was one story, however I ended up in a room below the 2nd floor, the noise was terrible. I spoke with the front office, she said she would speak with the manager, she said she did, she tried to convey the response from the manager in a neutral way, but the message was clear, the manager really did not care, customer service is everything! There are too many other options in Basalt, I would never stay here again.
