Having put it off for far too long, we finally decided it was time to address replacing our 100+ year old slate roof. The call to Sean at A1 was the best move I've made in a long time. Not only was he patient and informative answering our MANY questions, but he also made some additional recommendations to enhance the appearance of the final product, which we realized was exactly what we were looking for. In fact, we were so impressed with Sean's informative demeanor that we decided to take advantage of other resources from A1 that we had not originally considered, and had his team address some structural issues and cosmetic details that had been concerning us. The entire team of workers was courteous and professional at every stage of a challenging project .... with challenging homeowners!!! Not only are we extremely satisfied with the results from A1 .... they exceeded our expectations.

We recently contracted A-1 Roofing & Construction to install a complete roof on our Portsmouth home as well as remove and replace several large areas of cedar shingles on the exterior sides, dormers and chimney. We could not have been more pleased with the results. The quality of A-1’s workmanship was excellent, with attention to detail evident throughout the entire job. The company owner personally viewed the exterior of our home at the onset and provided us with a very detailed estimate of the job within one business day. Commencement of the work was prompt, within a week of signing the contract. A-1’s team of roofers and carpenters, along with a foreman, arrived promptly on site to complete the job over a two day period. Every one of their tradesman was professional, extremely hard-working and diligent, only taking a short 30 minute break mid-day. A thorough cleanup of our property was completed at the end of each workday. A-1’s office staff was also highly professional and very personable. There was communication all throughout the entire job, from scheduling the estimate to post-completion including the comprehensive warranty and rebate that we were eligible to receive. We highly recommend A-1 to any home and property owner in the area without any reservation and with the utmost level of trust and satisfaction.

I reached out to A1 on the weekend, they returned my call Monday morning and before noon that same day Sean was at my house preparing an estimate. Their price was reasonable, and they fit me into the schedule promptly. The work begin exactly the day and time I was told and finished within the timeframe expected. They were very professional the job foreman Steve was very easy to work with and the jobsite was left clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a roof replacement.
