Giant Eagle Pharmacy

Some people are very friendly and helpful, others are rude and arrogant.

My husband took our daughter 2x to try and get her flu shot at this giant eagle pharmacy and kept getting told long wait times and to try between 12-2 when they had another pharmacist. He took her between 12-2 and same thing 1 hour wait. I took her today and they acted weird about if they could give her one (she’s 4) then suddenly had a long wait time, even though no one else was physically waiting on prescriptions and they had about 5 people working. I went to cvs at ewashington and 306 and was seen in 8min, the dr was very friendly at cvs

These guys are very caring and work hard to support their customers medicine regiment.nThey went out of there way to talk to me about my medicine and make sure I have all the support systems I need.

I'm looking for a generic medication for my daughter.nnIronically, I need to find a particular brand of generic because although the active ingredient is identical in the name-brand and all generics (in theory), the inactive ingredients vary and my daughter is severely sensitive to one common in this medication.nnThere is no process for finding generics by brand. Generic manufacturers do not maintain lists of locations that stock their products.nnI'm left calling every pharmacy in the region, begging them to read the ingredients in their generic medicines, asking if they can order a generic by brand name (no), and then starting again.nnAlthough I did not find what I needed at this Giant Eagle, the pharmacist was patient, complete, knowledgeable and sympathetic to a degree I have yet to encounter elsewhere.nnYou could do much worse than to bring your business here. I know I'll go back.

I will never use this pharmacy and have boycotted it for sometime now. My husband's doctor sent a script to this pharmacy. The pharmacy refused to fill his script because the doctor wrote something on the script they didn't quite understand about weaning off the medicine. They supposedly couldn't get ahold of the doctor because she was out of town to figure out whatever they needed to figure out. In the mean time, the medication my husband takes has serious Side effects if stopped immediately. He went days without taking his medication. At first he started twitching at night and then one day I got a call that he was in a car accident and he ended up having a seizure while driving and wrecked his car--Thanks to not taking his medication. Thank God he didn't kill himself or someone else! I called his doctor when this happened and had no trouble getting ahold of her while she was out of town so I doubt the pharmacy even called. I know they can refuse to fill a script for someone but if they do give back the script so someone else can fill it especially if there are serious side effects when stopping taking the medication. Someone's life could have been lost. Sorry for using my husbands email for this review, but I don't have a Google account. we having been using a smaller, local pharmacy since this situation and haven't had any problems.
