Danny's Cycles Mohegan Lake

I was given a Felt by a former triathlete so it was much more capable than I needed from a bike. I truly didn't know how to change the gears because I didn't understand that they levered inwards. I thought the gears and chain were just stuck. So I took the bike into Danny's. They were helping a customer so I wandered around for 20 minutes or so. A lot of people would be mad about the wait but I appreciated the time and attention he was giving to his customer. When my turn came, I told them I wanted the 2nd tier standard workup and that the gears weren't changing for me. They looked at it for a bit and told me it would be $205 for parts and labor; brakes, a chain maybe?, and some work on the gears I think, but no better tires or anything that seemed to cost that much. When I got it back two weeks later, I thought that nothing had been done at all until I figured out the levers and realized it was fine all along. I understand that this is a quality shop and the bike is a pricey one to fix but I do wish they had told me that the gears worked fine. I would have still purchased a repair package and I probably would have bought some accessories with the leftover. That would be the only negative thing I have to say. I do plan to go back there soon to see their selection of road bikes and to have my roommate's bike fixed, so clearly I am a fan of the shop because of the revisit. It is a really nice place with quality products. Worth a check from any local rider.

Ordered a bike online and picked up in person. Online ordering through website could not have been easier. Since I needed to pick up the bike from a Danny's shop location different from where it was currently in stock, Danny's transferred to the store nearest to me. It was assembled and ready within the promised time frame. Pick up at the store was quick and easy. I would definitely recommend Danny's cycles.

Very easy to deal with. They accommodated me by finding the color bike I wanted and had it shipped to their store for me to pick up. They were very helpful in the store as well. Will definitely continue business with them

I can’t recommend this place enough! Great service, ZERO sales pressure, lots of choices, and they’re very friendly. The manager here, Ken, is wonderful! He spent so much time with us as we waffled back and forth as to what to get. He never pressured us and even gave us insight on what to look for when we were thinking of getting an e-bike online (from somewhere else!) But with all his help and advice we chose wisely and purchased one from his store. There’s no worries now, I know he and his co-workers will be there for us if we ever have any questions and problems. The bike is FABULOUS and zero issues! Thank you Ken (& Danny’s Cycles).

For a large shop, I was pleasantly surprised. Before I even got my pre-ordered bike, I was very impressed with the communication I received, both via email and phone calls. David of the Scarsdale location kept in touch with updates, which was great.At the Mohegan Lake location, where I had picked up my bike, the entire staff was awesome. The service was prompt, competent, and courteous. No doubt I will make Danny's my home.
