The accommodations were so wonderful. The service was unmatched. The food was some of the best I've ever had. The staff was so thoughtful. I can go on and on about how wonderful everything was! Thank you Kenoza Hall!

Stayed at Kenoza Hall for the long Labor Day Weekend. Beautiful place and wonderful staff, but it was not worth the expensive price tag!nn1. The ONLY lunch option was a picnic basket for $90 with only 2 sandwich options, neither of which included anything but vegetables!!n2. The Chef was apparently very strict and would not make any modifications to the meals. I'm talking, you could not even add cheese to your eggs. Or add extra toast... No exceptions.n3. Dog friendly stay was wonderful but please beware there is a main road right in front of Kenoza Hall (you have to pass the road to get to the lake and canoes..) Very misleading from the photos. We were too worried to let our dog loose because of the traffic on this road.n4. Do not come here without a car. Very hard to find transportation in the rural area. However, a staff member DID pick us up from a hiking location 20 minutes away from the hotel, which was very nice!!nnOverall, Kenoza Hall was beautiful and peaceful. They have delicious cocktails, food was good, and they made bonfires with little smores gift bags at night. Just could have been better!

The ambience is incredible, the decor is impeccable however the food was not as anticipated and several items fell short. Otherwise, a wonderful evening spent!

We had such a lovely time at Kenoza Hall recently for a quick little getaway from NYC. Took about two hours to get there, super scenic ride, and it honestly took more time to get out of new york than it did on the highway. Kenoza was exactly what we had hoped for: dog friendly, quiet, charming, and surrounded by nature. With a touch of fancy because we also love that.nnWe arrived on a Thursday and had no problem finding Kenoza (***Important note: this is a cell service dead zone!!! We have t-mobile and did not have a single bar of service the entire time we were in the area***). We were able to check in early, which is great. They give you a cocktail at arrival which is a nice touch and encourage you to relax in the common area before heading up to your room. The rooms are lovely - ours had a soaking tube which is extra lovely. The view of the frozen lake was stunning.nnAll of the staff are so nice and really go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. They bring you coffee/drinks while in the common areas, offer suggestions off property, check on you, and actually engage you in genuine conversation. We enjoyed the fact that the resort was a little slower for the season because it felt like we had the place to ourselves the first night, however it did get busier on Friday and had a great crowd by Saturday. We spent most of our time in front of the fireplace playing chess.nnThe restaurant on property is delicious. It is upscale and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the NY strip for dinner. The menu's are simple but full of great choices and high quality ingredients. The breakfast was also wonderful - don't skip breakfast.nnWe visited the Alpaca Farm while we were there and highly recommend taking the time for this! It's a quick 25 minute drive and really is special. Afterwards we went to Catskill Distillery, which was so cool. I wish it were warmer so we could have spent time hanging around there. With COVID and the cold, options are kinda limited right now.nnIn addition, the spa was a great splurge for us. The facial was to die for and all of the quirky swiss things like walking on pinecones and dipping your feet in ice cold water just added to the experience. The sauna was awesome. The property was covered in snow so it honestly felt like we were somewhere else entirely.nnThere a few cons worth noting though that keep this from being a five start review. If I were rating this purely on service and ambiance it'd be a 5, hands down.nnMy husband is a very light sleeper. This is obviously an older property, which we understand (and appreciate), but we had very noisy people above us. They played loud music all day and wore their shoes (at all times - including 2am) so we heard their every single step. This was a problem for him, so next time I think I would request a room on the top floor. It's always a gamble who gets the room above you, but we did not luck out this time.nnMy other compliant is that the restaurant on property is very formal. We wished there were more casual options available. We have no problem leaving to venture into town but the options are SPARSE. Everything is about 20 minutes away minimum. We did however find Jeffersonville Bake Shop which was lovely. If you are looking for a quick lunch that won't cost $50+ bucks on property, your options are limited. I'm sure this is not the case in the warmer months when more is open, but was something we felt was a little challenging in January.nnOverall - we'd love to return. There is so much more we want to experience at Kenoza like their hiking trails, the lake, and being able to spend more time outside. There are a bunch of sister properties around that are easily accessible so make sure to try out their restaurants for something different. The group as a whole really sets a high bar AND is dog friendly to boot.

Absolutely amazing staff- they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We would come back here anyday.
