Great spot. Fantastic beach! Fires allowed on beach. Fishing awesome in fall. Beat prices in Montauk.

We really enjoyed our time. The apartment was well appointed with kitchen supplies. Bed was comfy. Great water pressure in the shower. Very clean. After hours check-in was easy. Small notes if you're looking to use kitchen. Being your own coffee filters, spices and such. But everything else is there for you. Will be back!

My friend and I stayed in room 164 in October 2020.nThis is a newly refurbished studio at the Water's Edge.nThis room is so awesome.nFirstly, the view is out of this world.nThe ocean front location with the expansive beach, and crashing waves are spectacular and relaxing.nWe sat on the balcony sipping wine and having cheese and crackers.nThe location and room has a vibe of relaxation and serenity.nThe ocean light blue walls with wainscott trim is accentuated by a spectacular 60 inch TV mounted just correctly on the wall so night time TV watching from the bed is easily acheived.nLying on the bed, we felt like we were in heaven. Upon checking the mattress out, surprisingly this was due to the fact that this was a Sterns and Foster hybrid mattress that makes you feel like you are at The Ritz or St. Regis Hotel. A night time treasured surprise.nnThere is an updated bright white kitchen which included an induction cooktop, microwave, toaster and full size refrigerator. This was really helpful to store our food and drinks for the days we were lazy and did not go to town.nThe countertop, backsplash and cabinets are top of the line. There was no corners cut and room #164 is an exceptionally inviting hotel room. The room was immaculate and at the time with covid the instructions were clear and were followed by all.nExtra towels were no problem.nThe walk to the beach was less than a minute. There were chaises and umbrellas offered.nThe staff was exceptional from check-in to check-out.nThis was a great mid week vacation from the inland covid boredom.

The photos advertised on the website look nothing like the rooms. Look at the google photos instead, they are accurate. The decor is outdated and none of the bathrooms or kitchens have been renovated. You may think only some rooms are not renovated and some must surely looks like the sparkly photos on the website. Nope, when we commented on our disappointment in the room and pondered if it was a mistake the staff got incredibly defense and would not discuss any form of compensation. I wish someone had told us our room would not look as pictured.

I went on 6/5/20 for the first time on my birthday, and we were still going through COVID-19. The room where I stayed was spotless! Everything was neat, clean, and just right for me. The ocean view was spectacular, and the staff was friendly. I would have given this review a 5, but we had no signal on the T.V., but after calling the front desk, they sent Uford, and after a while, he was able to fix the problem. Also, they were not giving the free breakfast nor the discounts for meals, which I understand they usually give, all due to the pandemic. Still, it was a relaxing stay. I will be returning to Wavecrest Resort soon.
