Larry's Freewheeling

I’m a student that’s recently gotten pretty into cycling and racing, and this shop more than any other I’ve been to has been helpful, welcoming, and supportive of just about everything I bring them. It’s clear that the guys working there -especially Larry- just want to share a passion for cycling with the neighborhood.nnYes the shop is messy. No the customer is not always right when they walk through the door (and they’ll make sure you know it if you walk in entitled). But I can’t count the amount of times I’ve gone in with a minor problem, a missing part, or whatever and Larry takes ten minutes out of his clearly busy day to help me out. I’ve picked up countless nuggets of advice over the past month from this place, to the point where I’m doing most of the service myself. But they’re still chill as ever. Can’t recommend enough. Oh and their prices on just about everything are cheaper then other shops around town. That’s cool too.

Generally good repairs at decent prices. But their last tune-up wasn't very good. And that person who's usually up front? She needs to never go into customer service as a career...nnLarry is six stars though.

This is literally the third time I came to Larrys for bike repair services and again they have rejected to provide any services to my bike. The first time was because they were backed up in inventory shipments the old man refused to change my chain. The second time was because I came 15 minutes BEFORE closing, so I couldn’t buy break parts. Finally, today even though I came an hour before closing time he refused to check my bike for a tuneup. This is the only bike shop within 5 miles from my house. Disappointment couldn’t begin to describe my irritation for the store or they’re employees!

For those rating them 5 stars, did you guys get a discount? The customer service was very poor. If you are trying to sell a customer a bike, dont give them 1/16 of your attention. The bike shop was filled with bikes, but I was told that only 2 are for sale. There are better places out there, trust me.

This is such a great bike rental place with friendly staff members. I’ve been using the bicycles from this place for about 3 years and all of my experiences has been great. The bike rental pricing per hour is affordable and the bikes are in good shape. I enjoy Biking and “Larry’s Freewheeling” make is possible since I don’t own a bicycle. I will continue renting my bikes from this place and inviting friends along. Thank You all.
