The team did an amazing job on our roof. The quote was very fair, the work was completed in a single day and is impeccable. Mike was extremely responsive and helpful and we couldn’t be more pleased with our new roof. Would absolutely recommend this team to anyone and will be using Affordable Roofing Contractors again in the future.

Affordable Roofing Contractors was ~$1,500 less than the next closest bid. After having my roof done by A.F.C., I would have opted to pay an extra $1,500 to the next highest bidder. Here is why:n1. Unprofessional. Multiple emails sent inquiring about the bid - took ~1 week for a response to come back. Moreover, on the day-of roofing event, Mike was only around for ~30 minutes. This became an issue when the job did not go as-planned, which leads me to my next point:n2. Untimely. The standard 8-square (i.e., 1,200 sq. foot) home was supposed to take one day. It was nightfall, and the roof was not done. I got a knock on my door at 8:30pm that they would finish up the next day. They did finish the roof the next day, but the gutters took 2 more weeks for them to finish.n3. Uncleanly. After the 2-day roofing job, I had to complain about the scraps left all over the yard. In fact, there was scraps on my neighbors roof as well. Plastic, nails, wood shards, shingles were all around the yard. Mike did come by to pick up the obvious stuff (after ~3 days), but I am still finding nails to this day. I will be needing to use a big magnet to go across my entire yard to make sure it is safe.nnThe plus side is that is was cheap and they got the job done (even with quite a few unsettling events). My neighbor has done 3 or 4 roofs himself, and he said that the crew seemed like they knew what they were doing. If not for my neighbors observation, I would have been very worried.nnUltimately, the question is whether you want to pay ~10-15% more for more professional, timely service and piece of mind. I personally would elect someone else next time around rather than roofing with A.R.C.nnUpdate: Upon posting my review, Mike got in touch with me. He came out to pick up all the straggler nails and clean the debris off my neighbors roof. He gave me a heads up beforehand. I admire Mike's hard work and appreciate his dedication to making things right.

Mike was exceptional to work with -- we could not be happier with our choice to hire him. Our project included our home and garage and Mike helped us consider shingle options, offered a very competitive price, and finished faster than expected.
