Staybridge Suites Rochester - Commerce Dr NW

This hotel looks well kept and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We went to our first room a 1 bedroom double queen and it had a really odd smell. Not just the cleaners that they use to cover up the smell, there was something like wet cigarette smoke, dog and something not quite right. I opened the windows to air it out as a headache was coming on and realized someone took off the safety plate for one of the two windows to open it fully. This was on the fourth floor, room 427. Truly the staff is great. They gave my children and I a new room, 304. It’s a great size room. The fact that the dishwasher was running gives you an idea that things really do get cleaned. There was a strong perfume like cleaning product used so I opened the windows with the safety plates secured to let this air out. The kitchen and bathrooms are well taken care of. If you need more silverware, etc just ask for some.nHere’s the caveat.nI would only recommend this hotel again if they Clean all of the air filters. This is not the room cleaners job. They have enough to do. This is the HVAC & buildings managements job. There is a locked vented closet in these rooms that has more dust encrusted in and around it, the bathroom fan and all of the dirty vents makes me worry about my asthmatic friends and family. Please clean out all of these. If I had thought of it at the time I would have taken photos.

We stayed there a couple times now and really enjoyed the beds, they are like clouds. Because of the pandemic the breakfast wasn't quite what it has been in the past, but it was still very good. We didn't do the pool, again because of the pandemic. It was open but we choose to not do it. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We would love to go there again and will probably in the future. They were great and their beds are fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay! We stayed in a kind and were so impressed with the size and all the extras. Would be a great place to stay on business with the full size kitchen! A great price, too! We will definitely stay again!

Beautiful room. Super nice staff. Although the breakfast and dinner isn't everyday or buffet style no more, it's still very good. Highly recommend.
