Worked for G4S for a year in 2008. Was ok at best. 12 years later I reapply. At first the hours and pay were what I wanted. However, after 2 phone interviews, an in person interview and going to do the paperwork at the main office, they keep changing the position and hours and lowering the pay significantly until it's minimum wage once you see the conditional offer in writing. I have worked for the company and site before, have a relative college degree and 6 years working experience and this is how they treat me. That is why they'll tell you they have huge turnover, people quit by just now showing up, and basic guards are promoted to site managers within a few months because the company is terrible from the top down. Do NOT apply, try somewhere else.

I have loved working for this company. Staff and officers alike have been phenomenal. Supervisors are aware and knowledgeable of their responsibilities, and the company has done nothing but good for me. I highly recommend this company, and always will. They respect their employees regardless of race, age, orientation, etc...have enormous support of their veteren, and are admirable in so many other ways.

At my account there is low pay, no opportunity for advancement, and you only get 1 week of PTO a YEAR. I enjoy the job because its very easy, the schedule is nice. My supervisor is very understanding of if you're a few minutes late every now and then. Job is perfect for a retiree or a young kid looking for a first job. Very hard to live on this wage alone.
