Had a lovely stay at the Captain Fairchild Inn. The room was thoughtfully appointed, the bathroom was luxurious and the breakfast was incredible. The innkeepers were delightful. It was a beautiful walk through the historic district to all the shops. We'd definitely stay here again.
Do not stay here. House is convoluted with no flow, small room with very sagging king bed, modern decor which is not done well with period house and other period furnishings. Poor breakfast with scone, deviled egg and Keurig coffee. Flushing and showering heard throughout house. Water damage in sitting room than has molded wallpaper. Non functioning windows. Very pleasant staff. General disrepair.
Very beautiful building. Room was comfortable. Could of had a little warmer color, but very nice anyhow. My only thing was we left our charger in the room and called 2 hours later and they said they didn’t find it. We had left it plugged in the wall. Besides that , breakfast bought up in a bag, (covid) policy. Still I loved the quaint building, it looked well maintained
This place was beyond our expectations! Before arriving, I got a friendly text from the staff saying our room was ready before check in at 4, so we could arrive early. Apon arrival we were greated at the door. Absolutely beautiful modern design with a natural theme of whites and neutrals. All fireplaces lit. Very cozy breakfast/brunch room with Nespresso machine and Keurig.nOur suite was amazing! Full walk in shower, Japanese soaking tub and fireplace as well as a seating area. The King size bed was extremely comfortable and the extra touches like aromatherapy shampoos and moisturizers, to shoveling around our car at night to even leaving us mini bottles of wine to celebrate the evening with was all top notch service!!nHighly recommend for a weekend away with the spouse. Breakfast was served to our door, homemade and delicious!
Historic property updated for 20th century comfort. Warm, cozy, with a wine bar! Very comfortable, accomodations in walking distance of downtown Kennebunkport.
