Great location, beautiful building. Room refrigerator was at 57° and we were told by front desk they're more like a cooler. So we went to go find ice and the ice machine on our floor was not working. Front desk staff was very sympathetic and offered us free valet to compensate situation. He also offered to keep our food and drinks in their refrigerator even though that was not ideal and a hassle. I would stay here again but know not to get food to go and being a cooler for drinks.
We had a nice stay here, but there were a few things that we were a little surprised by. I called before our stay to ask about upgrading our room and the person I spoke to was very rude. When I called back to confirm that our dogs would be okay in the room, I was informed of their one pet per room policy, which is fine, but when I asked if we could pay an additional deposit for an additional dog, the response was *an exasperated* absolutely not. I felt that everyone I spoke to (until we got to the bar) was irritated to have to be dealing with us. Also, the shower leaked, but that's not a huge deal. Overall, the stay was good, I was just surprised at the customer service. I would like to clarify that the valet and the bartender were exceptional.
The room was modern, but only a C for clean. I actually checked out early due to the fitness center not being open. I’m not sure why they could list that the dining was temporary closed on their website and not include the same message for the fitness center. I was told they are reopening slowly( guessing that means when they clear all the junk currently stored in there) This is my 7th stay this year at a Marriott brand and the first with the fitness center still closed. The front desk did suggest a planet fitness day pass, why when the Marriott down the street has an open fitness center and cheaper valet parking.
We stayed there a month ago and still thinking about what a wonderful job the staff did. Leila was especially pleasant and helpful. I know Seamus is the manager but he should also get a shout of for being the same way #rolemodel. The room was super clean especially appreciated during COVID and location was BEAUTIFUL!
Beds were nice, but the parking added $25 per night in a parking garage across the street which was a cost that was not expected. The TV is outdated and remote that doesn't control the TV but rather just the cable box and it's not family friendly with gaming consoles for the kids, and lack of available outlets. Young adults walking around with masks in their hands but not on their faces. IMO, hotel outside the city.
