Very affordable and a great place to crash for a night. But it needs upgrades. It smells for one. And the bathroom was clean, just old and not cared for. But great towels. And I did see one small cockroach in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly. They even sent me a thank you after my stay. Great customer service.nnIn the lobby they had a lot of boxes of carpet, so maybe they are in the process of updating.
I can't Express my Gratitude and Appreciation for the people who Work here. Kattu Kat And Randi have treated me and my Wife like Family And their gift to us was above & Beyond Anything. They are Very Good hearted people And From this day forward Anytime in Springfield Route 66 will be my home for the Evening or Weekend. They touched Our hearts And for that I am Greatly appreciative... So with all this being said A BIG Shout out to them Both. This place is iconic. It's well located with everything one needs within walking distance. Food, discount shopping, fuel, hair and nail salons.... And it's undergoing renovations with a well-maintained outdoor swimming pool. A better experience is difficult to find for the price.
Smoking rooms are rundown and give a feeling of abandonment. However the regular rooms are clean and about as much to be expected from an older style hotel. Hot tub rooms look very nice. Overall a bargain. Staff is friendly and helpful.
I love it here.My husband got a job in Springfield Illinois, so we had to find a place to stay. It's really nice and quiet here.I would tell all my friends and family if they ever came to Illinois to stay here.
