Comfort Suites Midland West

This Comfort Inn & Suites is awesome. Right after we checked in we had an emergency and Nancy at the front desk called 911 for us and was so caring and helpful. When I returned from the hospital she said she would pray for my Husband. This Lade is awesome. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. When I come back to Midland I will definitely stay here again. I give it a 20 out of 10.

Ok so we were traveling from Phoenix to Midland. I was calling around trying to find the best deal for a 3 day stay. When I called the hotel, I asked What the pet fee was, I was informed by an employee at the front desk that because Texas was under a state of emergency because of the recent winter storm that pets would stay for FREE. I then asked if their pool was open, and they said yes. After I got off the phone with her, I immediately made a reservation with hotels.com. They were $20 more than motel 6, but they weren’t charging for pets and they had an indoor pool that our kids could use. So it was a win win or so I thought. When we arrived at the hotel, I went inside to check in, and I was told that they are in fact charging for pets, $15 a night, and that they’re pool has been closed for cleaning for about 4 days now because their pool guy was a no show. And now the cancellation policy comes into play, this hotel doesn’t let you cancel for free, you have to pay a full one night stay in order to cancel. $89 to cancel. So now exhausted from our 12 hour drive, we just gave in and stayed for 3 days rather than having to pay $89, plus get another hotel elsewhere. Upon checking out, I talked to the manager about our issues and was told by the manager of this hotel that she would give us a phone call back about the pet fee that was charged to us. But never received a call back. We have stayed at Comfort Suites many times before in San Antonio, Phoenix, even this one in Midland before, it is a great hotel. However I would not recommend this management of this hotel, Poor service/Poor communication reflects poor qualities in a company.

I stayed at the new hotel Choice suites in midland that was only open about a few months now. I booked my reservation for 5 days started on a Thursday night. I was told they had a shuttle for pick from the airport but I had to call 24 hours in advance Which I did. I spoke to the actual manager of the hotel to set it up. I told her that the plane arrives at 5 so I should need the shuttle for approx 5:15. I got my bags and waited for shuttle. 5:30 came and I called the hotel directly. When asked where the shuttle was I was told that they had no idea of my arrival and they the shuttle was not scheduled to come to airport for another hour . So I sat at airport for over an hour and half waiting for it . When i arrived at hotel the solution was to just give me a snack and that would make everything ok. I had a meeting that I had to get to and I had to miss it because of the lack of Customer service and they way the hotel is ran. I frequently fly in to midland and thought this would be a great hotel to use Because it was new and looked nice. Well yes the hotel it self was nice but the management sucks. I even tried to talk to the mangernJennifer Miller . And everytime I went to front desk she would not speak to me or was not there. I spend over $400 and this is the way they way the guest are treated.

I’ve stayed at many comfort suites but this recent visit by far has been one of the best experiences I’ve had. I checked in the first day with lashonda in the afternoon, she was extremely friendly and didn’t make me feel like I was just another customer checking in, she answered all my questions with ease. I didn’t plan on staying a second night but checking in with jackie the next morning, she was able to extend my stay with out any problems. She was very nice and made sure my room was to my liking before I finished checking in. The hotel was very clean and my room was spacious. This will definitely be the only hotel I’ll be staying at when I’m in midland, which will be frequent for work. Definitely will recommend this hotel to friends and family! Thank you Midland staff

The prices finally got reasonable enough to stay here as opposed to having to drive to Lubbock for a room.
