First time at a Howard Johnson's. Extremely comfortable. Highly recommended anyone nearby. The staff also extremely polite. They even made me breakfast without asking. I ate a lot of eggs they gave me six eggs.
Great stay! My car broke down in Pecos and they accommodated me awesome! They let me check out a little late while my car was being fixed. Room was neat and smelled freshly cleaned. Hot water, plenty of space. Enjoyed my stay
I pass through Pecos on business frequently. My normal dog friendly hotel was booked so I stopped here. I advised the clerk I had dogs with me and he set me up in a room (charged me $15 more than the internet price, but I was tired so I didn’t complain). Later he came to get me and said he forgot to charge me for the dogs and needed my credit card again (another $20). Okay not a big deal, but then I got to the room...nThe room I was in was obviously not cleaned. There was crust on the comforter, short dark hairs on the pillows and the toilet was soiled. I slept with my own comforter and left after a few hours. I am so disappointed in the quality, I expected much more.
The staff here are absolutely friendly, kind, and responsive. The room I stayed in was clean and the bed is quite comfortable. The heater works like a champ and the wifi has a good connection. Perfect for a nights stay after a long trip.
Very disappointed! Shame for the well known name: Howard Johnson!!! Everything is very old and worn out! Torn bedspread! Faded and worn out towels and blankets! Outside is very unclean! A lot of dirt and flies, if you just open the door, the flies get in quick and easy! Need major improvement immediately!
