This hotel was the cleanest hotel we have ever been in. The room was so spacious, very important when traveling with kids. The beds were comfy and large and this was very close to the perfect stay. Very reasonably priced and nice staff! Our best Marriott stay so far!
Of the four Marriott’s we stayed this trip this was the only one that didn’t offer us any morning to go breakfast, water at check-in or had the staff wearing a mask. We were taken aback at the lack of customer service. Room was great.
Air conditioner/heater is an under window unit. It did not work. Made loud noises that went off and on all night even though we pushed the off button. Very close to I-20 so we heard trucks all night. So poor quality sleep. Room was clean, bed comfortable, desk clerks nice. I would not stay here again.
This place has nice rooms (at reasonable rates) and friendly staff, but there are a couple of drawbacks. Their free WiFi is fairly useless, since it routes you to a captive portal that is blocked by a lot of browsers and firewalls. (It’s on a website that runs on obsolete code, if I read my security messages correctly.)nnThe other drawback is that they’ve used the pandemic as an excuse to skimp on their complimentary breakfast. They don’t want people congregating in the breakfast area, so they limit everything to prepackaged foods (except fresh coffee). A guest could easily scoop eggs or breakfast potatoes into a to-go container and be on their way—but they did away with their hot foods entirely.
Good hotel to stop off at during a cross country drive with the family. Good sized room comfortable beds. Not much nearby.
