This place has gone downhill bad. Ac leaked in one room and didn't cool well in another. Cable went out and I couldn't get another room and nothing could be done. Old food from previous guest left in mini fridge on several occasions. Only one machine works in fitness center. Plus parking lot goes pitch black some time in the middle of the night.
The staff was helpful. The rooms were very clean. My problem with the place is that we were there for a wedding and the party had rented almost an entire floor. THERE WAS NO PARKING..!!!. We were told by staff that someone in the sales department Let a tree trimming service park it's fleet of large trucks along with trailers park long way across at least 21 spaces. The operators of the trucks were not staying at the hotel. Therefore myself and many other paying customers had to park in a dirt field or a fast food restaurant in the dark.
Great hotel to stay. Access to all you need!! Employees are friendly, respectful and appreciative of guests staying. When in the Austin area, I will be back to this hotel.
If you desire to stay in an outdated hotel with few amenities, this is your place. The lack of ice makers, a guest laundry dryer and a poor excuse for a breakfast were notable.nMore important than this was the large party of beer drinkers and their kids unsupervised and running around who were unmasked and not socially distanced.nWhen I pointed out to the staff my concerns about the kids unsupervised, she said she couldn't do anything (like talk to the parents!) and it was ok for the large group to bring in beer from outside, drink and socialize in the hotel common area and party as they wanted.nI suggest if you care about COVID, you should not stay here - although they post social distancing and mask signs, it really doesn't matter to the management.nThe facility is old and needs updated but apparently this isn't of concern to Hilton as it appears more and more their franchise operators can do whatever they want,
Too bad I can't give it a minus star. Ended up in a handicap room which we did not reserve. We're told that all the towels were in the dryer so come back down to get a couple in an hour. Terrible management. Young lady behind the desk tried to be helpful but her manager over-rode her. Will never give them another chance.
