Comfort Inn & Suites Mansfield

To preface, it has taken a while to write this; our stay was over Christmas and I've literally been putting it off until now. But to start, we stayed here December 23rd to December 27th 2020, when we first got in, no one was wearing masks (not even the manager who was on site multiple days) despite the signs on the doors saying they were required in common areas. The receptionists (although nice) was coughing directly into her hand and touching ID cards, room keys, credit cards, paperwork, and handing it to customers. There was a 2x4' piece of plexi-glass that covered the front desk area...that's it. I may be overzealous about covid-19 spreading, but it's still a thing and we wore masks the entire time. We got to our rooms (my father and I), everything was in order for the most part and we did our usual disinfecting while traveling. One thing, for some reason the hot water never stayed hot in the showers; it would cycle through freezing and scalding every couple of minutes, which wasn't fun. There was no prepackaged breakfast of any kind, but there was coffee and tea available. Most hotels have at least switched to offering prepacked breakfast in leu of the regular open buffet due to safety concerns, but not this hotel. Was inconvenient considering you're already paying for the room and now have to find an additional meal throughout the day, but I digress. The cleaning technicians never wore masks either and would come in and turn down rooms even with a do not disturb sign clearly placed outside the door. The Wifi was atrocious. I'd be lucking to stay connected for more than 2 hours at a time and the normal relog is daily for most hotels with password security. If you have neighbors and they're loud, forget getting ANY sleep. The walls are paper thin and you can hear pretty much everything on the other side of the wall. Really, if you needed a hotel and you couldn't find anywhere else to stay, I'd stay here, but it would be in a pinch. Being our first stay here, this wasn't a great first impression. In addition, they're a little to footloose and carefree for being in a metropolis dealing with a pandemic for my personal taste. All that's included in the price is a place to lay down, and for what you're paying, that's not enough. Maybe once things get back to a more normal state of being, they'll improve service, but I'd just as soon stay elsewhere.

Bathtub had no drain plug so I couldn't soak. Asked for a drain plug, but none available, so had to use towels. A/C didn't seem to get into the bathroom, so it was always hot. I was in a suite, which seemed to be the same size as a normal room, with one bed removed, and a partition wall and sofa added. Staff were nice and helpful, and the facility was very clean.

Frendly staff, clean , and very comfortable beds but a little to loud being next to front desk and room next-door with kids other than that it was a good stay

Now you know, if the housekeeper is doing their job, they would notice that the tub is not draining. There is no way you could clean the tub thoroughly with dirty water not draining. Also, there was no Kleenex or toilet paper. There are wads of hair on the floor. All the lights in the bathroom are not working. I have zero confidence in the cleanliness of the room.

Nice location, big problem!!! They only clean the rooms every third day, there's no breakfast whatsoever....I travel a lot the other Comfort Suites locations I stay at offer breakfast and daily cleaning.
