Shary Inn and Suites

Had a reservation through booking.com that had already been confirmed by the hotel, not just by booking.com but by the manager Mary herself when my husband went in person prior to check-in. At check in, same manager stated our reservation had been cancelled. Simple as that, very simply stated. We questioned how that was possible if we did not cancel and she stated it was because they did not have a room available for us (despite her showing a room to my husband earlier that day). Manager Mary was rude and inconsiderate, made it seem like it was no big deal because we had not been charged and as if it was our fault for going through booking.com instead of the hotel directly. She also stated they had several rooms that were not fully functioning and she could not accommodate guests in those rooms. We argued a reservation is a reservation despite us going through booking.com and we in addition had already been shown a room prior to check in. The money wasn’t the issue for us, the issue was us staying without a room because all other hotels were completely booked. I booked ahead of time and booked with Shary Inn and Suites because they had higher ratings than some of the other hotels available. Unfortunately, I ended up extremely disappointed and without a room during a power outage and winter storm for 2 more nights. Luckily, I was able to book at the Hampton Inn and Suites that same evening for a further date since we were still without power with no hassles or utter disappointment. Moral of the story, BEWARE!

1.) Wifi is just horrible connection.n2.) Not enough Hskp employees which means rooms aren’t clean as they should be. (Only take out the trash & gives you clean towels)n3.) Front Desk not professional at all... always on their phone & seems like they don’t want to do anything for the guest.n4.) Building is moldedn5.) Door on the right side of the building Exiting (next to the pool) Not working properly which means U can’t enter from it if ur coming from the outside you will need to go through the front entrance.nI dislike that I felt the need to make this poor review but the employees from Shary Inn & Suites weren’t making any effort on changing any problems from all of the above.

Lovely vintage property, close by great BIG shopping centernnComfortable room and nice employees would definitely stay again!
