Travel Inn San Antonio

A really high class establishment with a warm and inviting atmosphere (although if you valued your life at all I would suggest that you NOT accept their invitation). Definitely has the friendliest cockroaches in town. It was also quite enjoyable watching people with questionable sanity levels do their drug deals out in the parking lot.

This place was absolutely disgusting! Would NOT recommend. As soon as me and my husband walked in the door, we were greeted by the nastiest must smell. The AC only blew hot air and made the room smell worse than it already did. Found a filthy razor and mildew growing up the sides of the tub. The mattress was stained yellow and smelled like urine. The blanket smelled of cigarette smoke and was immensely uncomfortable. The room only came with one pillow and we didn't feel at all comfortable with bringing in our own. The room didn't have a fridge nor microwave and within just a few hours of me and my husband going out for something to eat, we came back to a druggie attempting to break into our room. This place is not safe for you or any children.

The management and staff are great! The Maintenance team (Terry & Eric) go above and beyond to ensure everything is in a safe and working conditions. As well as the housekeeping team (Regina & Simone) go out of their way and don't cut any corners as to make sure rooms are clean. Alot of upgrades have been made to each room...Great property. I am one of approximately 40% of residents for whom Travel Inn is a long term rental, not an overnight party pad or flophouse. There are families with children here, loving pets, and hard workers, all just trying to get by during these difficult times. My experience with staff and management has been extremely positive. Approached with respect, they respond in kind: professional, friendly, and helpful. The monthly rate is comparable to any 1-bedroom apartment in San Antonio, especially since there are no pet fees for responsible owners and utilities are included. New flat screen televisions were recently installed in each room, which also include a microwave and minifridge for easy food preparation and storage. Every room has light-blocking blinds, which are great if you work the graveyard shift. The entire property has undergone a facelift that included fresh paint and roofing repairs. One thing to bear in mind is that its location right off of I-35 N makes this a part of town with many transient people bearing the burdens of life. If you have problems seeing pass people's problems to their humanity and value as a person deserving of dignity and respect, you might not like it here. I have never had a problem on or off the property, regardless of the hour. Of course, Travel Inn is not perfect - I have yet to live somewhere that is. But I am very grateful to have found a safe place to call home like Travel Inn, surrounded by good neighbors and assisted by down-to-earth staff.

40 bucks for a room with a microwave and fridge...not bad
