Peaceful Oaks Bed Breakfast and Barn

We had the amazing opportunity to stay there two weeks ago and loved it! The owners and operators where the most accommodating ever!nWe stayed in the upstairs suite with the private hot tub and it was so romantic. I’m a clean freak and usually don’t like staying out, but this place was more than perfect! The beds where extremely clean and comfortable. I dreaded to leave when our visit was over. They prepare an amazing morning spread in the dinning hall. The views are breathtaking!nnI can’t wait to get the opportunity to stay there again this fall.

Two words bed bugs. This place is filthy. It is truly sad since it was once a gorgeous property.

Had friends get married here. The venue isn't a bad location, and otherwise would be fine, but the owner nickel and dimed the daylights out of the bride and groom. Charging hidden fees for every little conceivable thing. Apparently the owner was a nightmare to deal with.nnDO NOT USE THIS VENUE, THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU. Please give your business to others who are more reasonable with their guests.

Bed bugs! I didn’t knownthat B&B stood for bed bugs. Even though this was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed in, we could almost look past the mouse droppings and other debris but bed bugs, nope. Not a chance especially when we brought it to the owner Lori’s attention and all she could do was try to argue that the three bugs, two that were actually live which we provided for her anyhow, with hardly a reaction she claimed they were ticks even though our son has dozens of bites which since yesterday 7/16 was confirmed to be just that, bed bug bites. Two other adults are also covered in bites. I would run as far as possible. Lori didn’t offer any sympathy or solution. It’s a-shame, I’ve heard this property was a gem once upon a time.

Attended the Nevel wedding. Always have a great time!
