Residence Inn by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Brier Creek

Where do I begin, This was one of the WORST Stays I have ever experienced! The hotel is new and beautiful. The location was perfect for our visit! However, we were given a handicap double queen suite that was assigned at the last minute it seemed... although I booked it weeks in advance. The bed was like lays on milk crates! My leg is still in pain 3 days later after laying on it for 4 nights! There was no towel hooks (since the room was for a person in a wheel chair, no lamp which I requested be brought to the room after the 1st night. The lights were all attached to one switch, once again for a handicap person... And none of us are, it was just a mess! After long days of being out all day until 10pm, to come back to this room was not something I looked forward too. When I went to the front desk to complain, I was told the hotel was booked and no other room was available and dismissed basically! I was told to call the manager, the lamp was not brought, we had to go down to request towels, pillows, and a blanket since the room was prepped for 1 person instead of 3. All the things I requested up front that were not done. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I feel cheated, duped, robbed! To have paid $750 for a motel 8 experience with my room was really a waste of my hard earned money. I have several more trips planned but I will definitely be finding another hotel. There are new hotels everywhere and I am sure the business at this location is good so this review may not matter, but if you are considering staying here for more than 1 night, you might want to reconsider. I have several more trips to Raleigh NC as I am moving there this summer, but I will definitely find somewhere else to stay. I have tried to stay loyal to Marriott, even though I have had some bad stays before,,, the good ones outweighed the bad ones. But this one might have tipped the scales!

My family and I checked in after a long drive down from Virginia in the middle of a snow storm, with my mother in law who has dementia and a Frenchie. On the way in we encountered a minor fender bender.nnI walked in frantic, at 9 am hoping for a room. Mr. Freeman asked no questions, gave me room and made me feel so much better. He held breakfast for us so we could get something to eat. I was literally in tears from his kindness.nnIn this day and time it’s so incredibly rare to find good customer service.nnIf I could’ve given him more I would’ve. Whenever I’m in town I’ll stay here as long as Mr. Freeman is the assistant manager.nnThank you so much! You have no idea how much your generosity changed my entire day.

Wonderful, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Definitely a nice place to visit, especially if you have to stay for an extended amount of time. We absolutely enjoyed staying here.

I would give the cleanliness of the rooms a 71/2. This use to be our favorite go to spot but lately I don't know what happened. The last time I came here I was disappointed because my kids could'nt swim which is why I paid and extra night. They couldn't because the pool water was not clear at all and it looked milky/cloudy. After 5 mins I told my kids to get their foot out the water took a picture and showed manager. They were even shocked and still had people swimming in the water without closing it down and treating the pool properly.I was told I was I was gonna get a call about this problem and I didn't so this is why I'm leaving this review.

As a contractor, I love working with the Maintenance Supervisor, Julie. She makes a subs job very easy and we both work seamlessly to the common goal of taking care of the property!
