Cabins at Seven Foxes

The cabin was amazing! Clean and spacious. The trails on the property were full of nostalgia and very entertaining. Mountain views and waterfalls a short drive. Perfect respite for small families.

If I could give 4.75 stars, it would be a more accurate rating. I will get the minor issues out of the way. These cabins are more expensive than other cabins in the vicinity, smaller with less amenities (I ended up extending my stay at another cabin in Ashville). I had a few minor requests when we first arrived, like batteries were dead in one of the flashlights, and one or two more things that when I emailed the property manager, I was met with resistance. Small stuff, that you usually report to hotel management when you first arrive and they apologize, fix it and you move on with your stay. To be fair, I gave in quite easily because I felt they were minor issues, but I feel like a request for 2 AA batteries should be granted without me having to ask twice. In addition, we had a critter outside keeping us awake at night almost the whole time we were there, which was met again with resistance, prompting me to make recordings and explain how the idea was for me to be able to sleep on vacation, not get woken up. Again, even if nothing can be done, a little empathy and sympathy or a gift basket or offering to move to another cabin would have gone a LONG way to making me and my children feel taken care of. Instead I felt like I had to convince the manager to just believe me, which is a horrible feeling.nnWith all that out of the way, the property is ADORABLE. There are trails carved out and so many nooks and tree houses and places to play games or enjoy being outside in the mountains. There is Jeanie, the donkey, which my kids loved feeding apples to and the location is a perfect location for the Sapphire Ski resort, tons and tons of hiking and waterfalls. Eat at Mica's restaurant if you get a chance, it was by far our favorite place to eat and Whiteside Brewing Company had the BEST food, worth the wait in line. The cabins are very rustic, wood everywhere, but you can tell a lot of thought went into providing every little thing from napkins to pizza baking sheets to throw blankets with cute decorations to match the theme of each cabin (ours was the Raccoon Loft). If I were to stay again, I would stay at the Deer Lodge, which includes washer and dryer and hot tub and is larger. However, it is 0ver 300 a night, so I'd really have to weigh my options. The best part was the location. It was absolutely beautiful. I waited a long time to write this because I wanted to be fair with my review. We visited end of December to early January 2020-21 for 9 days.

A beautiful location. Quiet and secluded.

My family and I had a great time staying here. My kids loved exploring the trails and pond next to our cabin, and put the gem mining equipment near the creek to good use. We stayed at Raccoon Loft and found it very comfortable. The area was very quiet and was a great weekend getaway for us. We look forward to hopefully being able to visit again someday.

QUIET, secluded and still close to major roads and attractions. For us, the thoughtfulness, cleanliness and attention to even the smallest details made Cabins at Seven Foxes a destination and experience that is difficult to replicate.
