Staff was nice. We stayed here to adventure out to the outer banks and Elizabeth City. Installation was in good spot to accommodate the locations we wanted to visit. Overall the recreation area was nicely furnished with picnic areas, private beach area and boat landing. Email with confirmation and check-in information was very vague. The campground itself was nice and quiet. Lots large and paved. Great place to walk pets. Grounds could have stood a good mowing, plus the fire ant mounds needed some attention. Reservation office closes at 1400 hrs and you can't get assistance after hours or weekends. The campground is patrolled by security which is nice.

We stayed 2 weeks and explored the outer banks. There are 2 rows of full hookups 50/30 water and sewer. Sites are well maintained with concrete pads. Space letters are spay painted on your site.nnThe post is Veteran friendly

We rented one of the cabins through MWR and loved every minute of our visit. It's a great covid getaway.
