We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this is by far the most relaxing place of them all. The owners have thought of so many small details to add to the enjoyment of their property. I can't say enough about the attention to detail when it comes to making this property comfortable and SUPER clean! This was my second stay at The Acorn and we certainly plan to return!

Loved our stay at Acorn cabin. Very homelike with everything you need to make for a great time. The grounds are awesome with the sound of nearby creek, 2 dogs to greet you, fresh eggs from the chickens and fresh made brownies on arrival. The cabin is in a great location with easy access to many activities such as hiking, trails and state parks and forests. A couple of nearby towns with great shops and any grocery needs you may have. Donna and Keith are only steps away if you need them. Can't wait to come again!

Donna & Keith are great hosts and the Acorn is adorable! We only stayed a night but wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was incredibly clean and the cabin was very cozy.nnIt is an active homestead with live animals, who were all very friendly. I was even greeted by a pig. DuPont State Forest is right down the street and Hendersonville is only 15 min away. We definitely hope to come back.

This beautiful cabin was so clean and refreshing. We stayed for our anniversary, and wished we could stay for alot longer than we did. The pond is so easy to get to, and the dogs were very friendly. My favorite things about this cabin would be anywhere you go, in the cabin or out of it, you will find something neat. ( bon fire with lights, mini farm, smores) it's So cozy. There is Alot of entertainment around the cabin, a list of things to do. There is a binder where everything is around the area so finding restaurants was easy. You can definitely tell the owners really do their best to have a relaxing get away for the guests. We loved it and will be back soon. 5 star no doubt.

My family of four recently spent several days at The Acorn, a perfectly fabulous cabin in a secluded and beautiful area of western North Carolina, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. If you stay at The Acorn and somehow don't like it, you likely don't have a pulse.nnKeith and Donna are the kindest and sweetest hosts you will find, and they have thought of just about everything. Here are some of the ways they separate themselves from other rentals: handwritten notes, color-coded towels (genius), freshly baked brownies upon arrival (which we promptly ate for dinner), fresh eggs whenever you want them (we ate about 50), the cleanest and most crisp sheets you will ever sleep on, a big sign on the road clearly identifying the cabin (seems obvious, but how many times do people NOT do this, and then you end up doing six u-turns?), a list of local coffee shops and restaurants you will enjoy, new ceiling fans that hum away with zero noise, a fire pit, a super comfortable leather chair perfect for reading, an appropriate amount of places to hang towels or swimsuits (no need to throw them over doors), new appliances, good coffee, comfortable beds, and furniture that makes you feel like you are at home. And if there is something you can think of that they didn't, you can just ask them for it, and they'll provide it!nnTheir cabin also comes with a variety of animals that you can interact with or choose to ignore if you are a weirdo. There is Mack and Maddy, the friendliest dogs in the history of the world, three pigs, countless chickens, and 10 or so cats. And, of course, they all reside on a beautiful plot of land with a private pond. My kids loved it so much we had to drag them out for the day's adventures.nnThere was only one bad part of our stay at The Acorn: check-out time.
