The lodge is best described as just a place to lay your head,.. and the beds were rather comfortable! However,..It feels like they did what they had to do to meet a minimum standard 10 years ago and definitely nothing above and beyond that. The flooring has soft spots throughout,.. and the room was very musty smelling. I would venture to say they haven’t upgraded the linens (bedspreads) from the time they originally opened the doors. The staff was indifferent at best,..this surprised me the most. With people coming in from all over the world to fish here I expected a friendly knowledgeable staff,.. I didn’t experience that unfortunately.
Absolutely loved our trip down to Venice Louisiana. Cypress cove lodge staff was extremely helpful for first time Louisiana fishers. The rooms was very clean.
Air-conditioned' comfortable bed, tv worked. Nice people. Fair price. Nothing wrong with any of that.
It was a great experience, I thoroughly enjoyed it, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, who could ask for more.
Just called to check on availability and pricing. Lady who answered the phone on 7/23/20 at 2:43 pm was not friendly at all. I wouldn't stay here now if they paid me.
