The hotel, in my experience was fine. It is clean, updated, everything seemed to work.nAs stated in a previous review, the staff were not wearing masks or taking any obvious C19 safety precautions. This is despite a previous review stating the same AND the manager Brian, replying to the review and assuring that they would take C19 safety precautions more seriously. There is still a mask mandate...businesses should take them seriously if they want to stay open and more importantly protect their staff and customers. It’s pretty disappointing!!!!
It was pretty clean room & hotel in general was nice & clean. Even though they did not have the regular hot breakfast, they had a pretty good variety of things to eat along with juice & coffee. Check in lady was nice & made it easy as well. Would definitely stay again.
We were visiting from Savannah, (14 hours away) I absolutely loved this place and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, the atmosphere and employees were so pleasant to be around. The breakfast was good and gave you ample time to wake up and get going. Highly recommend staying here!
I was very surprised to see that none of the employees were wearing masks. Not the person at the reception desk, none of the people cleaning the rooms, no one. When I asked the receptionist if masks were required, she said in Louisiana it's voluntary which isn't true, there is a mask mandate throughout the state. There were also no signs indicating guests should wear masks (and no guests were). Most hotels have special cleaning protocols for Covid, and this one did not. It made me feel extremely unsafe. Apart from that, the walls were incredibly thin and I couldn't sleep because I could hear every footstep on the floor above us and the bed felt cheap and was incredibly uncomfortable. I don't recommend this place.
We stayed here from Dallas during the February Winter Storm 2021. It was the worst. No one was wearing mask. We are still in a pandemic. The toilet did not work. When we advise management, they said it was the city. So we had to use the 1st/common area bathrooms every time.
