The owner wasn't lying when he said that his motel was clean and the best value in town. It is obvious that they work very hard and strive to make the (I believe he said it was the first in town) motel comfortable with renovated rooms on the inside while keeping the outside true to it's original charm. I found the motel for my boyfriend as he drove through. He doesn't like to over pay for a fancy place, just needs clean and quiet with a good shower. He was very pleased. This is our kind of place and we will keep it on our list of places to stay since we make this trip several times a year.

NEW OWNERS 2020! Give them a chance. They are doing a great job.nnWe were driving to Mt. Rushmore and Rapid City from MN. We had decided to drive as far as we could before we crashed for the night. We happened upon the Bel Aire Motel. So glad we did. Greg the new owner was at the check in desk. He invited us to check out the newly remodeled room. As a realtor I was very impressed with the small details. It did not feel like a run down old motel. It was convenient and the price was great.nI was worried there would be road noise or I'd hear the neighbors who were sitting outside their room socializing. But I did not and I slept very well.nGreg came by the next day as he was tiddying up and cleaning other rooms to ask us how our stay was. We chatted with him for about an hour. He was professional, kind, and welcoming.nSo glad we got so luck. We stayed there 7/15/2020

A great place to stay. Adequate parking for suburban & 21' Boat . Very clean & comfortable accommodations. Accessible outlets for charging boat batteries. Accommodating check out time . Reasonable rates !
