Checked in a few hours ago & so far it has been a good experience. Right when you enter hotel you're quickly greeted & attended to. They served us glasses of Pineapple juice, parked our car & showed us to our room. The room is a little smaller than expected but it's nice.

The sparkling clean Vive Hotel offers a wonderful breakfast and is in Waikiki near the zoo. It's only a short distance to the beach, loads of shopping and restaurants.

My Husband and I stayed at the Vive for 5 days on our Honeymoon. We booked way, way in advance and got a good rate and no restore fees.nnWhen we arrived we got a warm greeting with Pineapple Juice and cold towels. Our room wasn’t large but our days were all booked so we just needed a place to sleep and shower.nnThe breakfast was pretty good. There was an assortment of fruits like Pineapple, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, Papaya - some bread items and eggs. There was always coffee and fruit infused ice water in the lobby. There is no Pool and no Hot Tub. There are toiletries but don’t forget your toothpaste and razor.nnVive was within walking distance to the beach, there are a couple ABC Markets nearby as well as a couple restaurants. We also walked to the Honolulu Zoo from the hotel.nnAll of the staff were laid back, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good. Room comfortable. Breakfast was basic and of fair quality. Repeated hard boiled eggs with bacon one day manufactured omelette and sausage the next. Along with breads and fruit. One day when we returned to our room at 4:30 it had not been cleaned. Another day the smoke alarm started chirping at 7:00am. Shouldn't you have a schedule to change the batteries regularly? Overall a good value for Waikiki.
