I want to go back just to stay at this hotel

We had a fantastic experience! The hotel and rooms are simply lovely and the staff was fabulous! The gardens are just beautiful and peaceful. And Gus, the Banyan tree, is spectacular! The food at the resort was very good and the servers were top drawer! We saw whales from our balcony which was a real treat! We recommend the Hale Koa to anyone who has access!

Beautiful grounds, wonderful staff, and comfortable room. No luggage carts for guest use is huge inconvenience; must use bell hop if you want assistance. I like how they check IDs at entrances so grounds are restricted to guests. Little ridiculous that I have to be IN the pool with my 4 y.o. who is wearing a life vest in 2' of water while I sit on the edge of the pool next to her. Mask wear requirement not really enforced for guests; noticed staff corrected a few guests, while others sat in lobby for hours without mask. Overall a great stay!

Best deal on Waikiki!!! By far...all the rooms are same size, but we'll kept. Military/Gov workers only, Barefoot bar is my favorite place on Waikiki, food is great at all their restaurants with great prices...and of course, the hotel sits right on Waikiki beach! Enjoy!

We have a special place in our hearts for the Hale Koa. Available only to military, veterans & dependents is nice & makes it affordable (for those with access). The kids pool and water slide are so much fun. It’s our favorite place to staycation in Waikiki.nnThe beach is clean and safe (although the last few times we’ve been there there has been a homeless couple living on the bike racks by the public bathroom. It attracts sketchy people and unfortunately the last time we were there the cops were standing right next to them and did absolutely nothing about it... not even ask what they were up to?? Quite the eye sore but you can easily see past it with the awesome clear water and snorkel.)nnIt’s not right in the heart of Waikiki strip so it’s quiet and family friendly. The hotel restaurants are mediocre at best and way overpriced so make sure you plan your meals ahead because there’s not very good options inside the resort.nnOverall this place is great for locals to get away and for visitors from out of town, again the awesome pool makes it all worth while!
